A yuppie housewife becomes allergic to the materials that make up her middle class home. It's unclear whether these maladies are real or psychosomatic. Things do not improve much when she escapes to a new age retreat searching for relief. Seemingly an allegory of the poisonous monotony of suburban life, the film never really makes its intentions clear - which is its saving grace. A must see for all with agoraphobia.
